The Work of Jar is the touring and live-content practice of Johann “Jar” Ramos, an independent freelance creative based in Los Angeles.

Created in 2017, The Work of Jar grew out of years spent documenting artists on the road. Backstage, in rehearsal, on stage, on tour, and in the quiet moments leading up to the gig.

The work spans live music photography, behind-the-scenes video, tour recaps, artist documentaries, social content, promotional pieces, and road-based storytelling.

Today, The Work of Jar serves as the touring, live music, and artist-documentation side of Johann Ramos’s larger creative practice.
